FAQs
With more than 2,000 clients served by our CAPILAND hair clinic and counting, we offer you our Frequently Asked Questions section. This basic list will give you an idea of some of the main questions that almost all patients tend to ask.
A: In Mexico you will find prices ranging from 20,000 to 140,000 pesos per session (1,000 to 7,000 USD) or 40 to 70 pesos per graft (2 to 4 USD) which are prices very similar to those you would find in some transplant clinics in Turkey and Spain.
In the United States and Canada, the price of hair transplantation ranges from 70,000 pesos to 500,000 pesos per session (3,000 to 20,000 USD). Specifying the cost in your case requires a medical consultation in which the quantity and quality of hair you have per square centimeter in your donor area is evaluated, an evaluation known as Densitometry.
In that same consultation, your doctor must design your new hairline, its height and contour vary from patient to patient, adjusting to each case to achieve the best facial proportion. Remember, your teenage hairline is unlikely to be the goal as we need to adjust it to your adult face; These and other factors directly influence the cost.
A: Hair transplantation is a not-so-complicated process that revolves around relocating (transplanting) bald-resistant hair follicles from the back of the head to the bald areas on the top of the head.
Once done, the after effects of this process apply for life. That's all because hair follicles taken from the back of the head are genetically resistant to baldness.
And that's regardless of where they relocate, eventually ending your "baldness" after one of our treatments!
A: When a procedure as complicated as hair transplantation is done correctly, the result can be amazing and can be so natural that even your hairdresser won't know you've had it done!
But the skill and experience of this multitude of hair transplant surgeons varies widely, as do their results.
It is important to choose a suitable hair clinic and procedure. That kind of right choice will ensure that you get a completely natural look afterwards.
The state-of-the-art hair transplant procedure that we recommend is called "Follicular Unit Hair Transplantation."
